The Department's mission is to provide recreational opportunities for the citizens of Conway that may improve the health, happiness, and well-being of everyone located in and around the city through its parks, indoor recreational facilities, and sports programs for both youth and adults that are provided in cooperation with area agencies
Conway Parks and Recreation is excited to host a local Punt, Pass & Kick Competition. The event will be held on August 31st at 6PM at Centennial Park. The competition is open to boys and girls, ages 6-15, age as of December 31, 2010. The NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Competition allows youngsters to showcase their talents in punting, passing and kicking with scores based on distance and accuracy. The top finishers from each of the divisions: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15 (boys and girls are separate) will advance to the Sectional competition in North Little Rock on October 2nd. The swimming area at Beaverfork Lake is OPEN!
We will be drawing down Beaverfork Lake starting Monday, September 20th. We will continue this process until the lake is at a suitable depth that will allow repairs to be made to private docks. All property owners that have a dock must make repairs during this time. All boats must be taken out of their slips by September 20th.
